$10 Laptop A Letdown
Posted on Feb 5, 09 12:37 AM PDT

While the world was abuzz about news of a $10 laptop from India, we are pretty disappointed to find out that our hopes were in vain, as the device is actually described as a “computing device that can store a user’s data and connect to a laptop.” Isn't that what USB flash drives do at the moment? We wonder how much memory can an "$10 laptop" hold when it is finally released, although hope springs eternal for a really cheap computing device that could change the way classrooms operate globally.
