Asus To Stop 9-inch Eee PCs Soon
Posted on Feb 19, 09 09:01 AM PDT

Asus is set on phasing out its 8.9" Eee PC netbook range by focusing on 10" netbooks instead, after all, the latter is appearing to be the industry standard these days. In addition, netbooks that feature larger displays logically come with larger keyboards, and that equals to a more comfortable typing experience. Too bad the slight increase in screen size is not accompanied by a corresponding increase in resolution that is currently stuck at 1,024 x 600 pixels thereabouts. Asus is targeting a 95% rate for shipment of its 10" Eee PC netbooks next year, while the remaining 5% will consist of 7" netbooks, where the majority of them will be sold via phone companies.
