Blister Radio Goes Green

If you're thinking of taking the next step in going green, how about picking up the Blister Radio? This common consumer electronics device is made out of PLA - a biodegradable, thermoplastic, aliphatic polyester material that is sourced from renewable stuff such as cornstarch and sugarcane, making it a whole lot more environmentally friendly during (and after) the manufacturing process compared to other portable radios which feature injection-molded cases with vacuum-formed packaging components. In order to keep in line with the eco-friendly theme, the Blister Radio features a solar panel at the back that keeps its internal batteries juiced up at all times. If only this concept would be turned into reality.
