Dell Wasabi PZ310 Printer Launched

Dell has finally rolled out its Wasabi PZ310 printer that we saw at last month's CES. This handheld portable printer is specially designed to work with digital cameras that support PictBridge over USB, in addition to Bluetooth-equipped devices for easy wireless printing. The Wasabi PZ310 will rely on ZINK (zero-ink) technology borrowed from Polaroid, using a layer in the paper itself when printing so that there is no need for an inkjet tank or laser toner cartridge, resulting in less waste to get rid of although we're sure the paper itself will be more expensive. You can produce a full color 2" x 3" image within 60 seconds or so, which ain't half bad for a pioneer device of its kind. The Dell PZ310 will retail for a special introductory $99 price point, although it will hit $149 once the promotional period is over. For some reason, this printer does not talk to the iPhone although that could change in the future.
