Posted on Feb 4, 09 09:52 PM PDT

Nikon Vision will be rolling out its Fabre Photo EX, a portable stereoscopic microscope which can be hooked up to Nikon's digital single-lens reflex camera, allowing users to use it for observation and photo shoots. Both the microscope and the NAS-L1 digital SLR camera attachment will be out on the 20th of this month, retailing for approximately $1,214 and $400, respectively after tax. These products will target field observation use in addition to industrial usage. The Fabre Photo EX functions as an improvement to its predecessor, the Fabre Photo, which was released in June three years ago, and will feature an optical system which was developed exclusively for digital camera shooting. A single AA alkaline battery is able to power the Fabre Photo EX for approximately 10 hours.
