Opera Turbo For Faster Browsing
Posted on Feb 12, 09 01:59 AM PDT

Just when you thought that turbo buttons were relegated to old computers, ancient joysticks and cars, along comes Opera Turbo that will be unveiled at MWC '09 in Barcelona, Spain next week. It will be made available to business customers who are running on Opera Desktop, Opera Mobile and Opera Devices SDK. Opera Turbo increases the speed of your surfing by compressing bandwidth consumption, and this helps reduce the size of data being sent to a cell phone or a PC by up to a whopping 80%, helping operators reduce network traffic and save on data transmissions. In addition, this will also increase the longevity of mobile network investments. End users will be another big group of winners with Opera Turbo, and not only that, it comes with full support for dynamic Web technologies such as Ajax and Flash. It will be interesting to see the result of browser market share once Opera Turbo is in full swing.
