P3 Gets Firmware Update
Posted on Feb 23, 09 09:10 AM PDT

It is interesting to note that the P3 has already been released in Korea for a few months now, followed by a UK launch with no word of a US rollout just yet. The P3 is also the recipient of a new firmware update to provide users with a more refined experience, where the most noticeable positive change would be video playback of up to 800 x 600 resolution natively. Not only that, the manufacturers have also thrown in SMI format support and a mosaic video browser that can be found on the S9. Performance is also touted to be given a boost of up to 30% with the firmware update, and this would clearly place it on par with other touchscreen portable media players. Now to urge the powers-that-be to bring in the P3 Stateside, pronto!
