Philips Tapster Bluetooth Headset

Philips has a brand new Bluetooth headset in town - the SHB 7110, also known by the much more memorable moniker Tapster. You will find extremely sensitive touch and tap controls with the Tapster (hence its name), allowing you to perform various functions including answering calls and changing the volume with but a mere touch. Once you remove the device, all your calls will be automatically rerouted to your cell phone. We are guessing that it will take some time to get used to the touch based controls, since those who are a little bit heavy handed might find themselves ending calls by accident instead of controlling the volume as intended. The Philips Tapster will feature a FullSound chip that decompresses music files courtesy of its smart algorithm, resulting in full bodied dynamic sound. There is no word on pricing although it is tipped to be released sometime later this year.
