QNAP TS-439 Pro Turbo NAS
Posted on Feb 5, 09 07:40 PM PDT

QNAP's latest NAS release, the TS-439 Pro Turbo is different from the rest because at its heart lies an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor that is used to control the 6TB of storage within, featuring support for online RAID capacity expansion and RAID level migration without having to turn off the server. The NAS itself comes with a variety of connectivity options, including five USB 2.0 ports and a couple of eSATA ports. Apart from that, your data will remain secure thanks to 256-bit volume-based encryption, automatic policy-based IP blocking, and instant SMS or e-mail alerts which can be used to alert you in advance of drive problems or failure so that you can respond accordingly to save your precious data within. The device allows one to share files across Linux, Mac and Windows platforms without any hassle. Too bad there are no pricing details for the TS-439 Pro Turbo NAS just yet.
