S1Digital Unveils P500 Media Center
Posted on Feb 5, 09 09:58 AM PDT

S1Digital has announced its latest media center known as the P500, and this one will feature up to a quartet of CableCARD tuners in addition to a QAM/ATSC tuner, alongside support for internal RAID5 storage, HDMI/DVI and 7.1-channel audio output. At the heart of things you will find Intel's latest Core 2 Duo processors running the show, while those who opt for the S800 and P600 will be able to enjoy high definition movies on the standard Blu-ray drives. These new media centers from S1Digital will also play nice with Crestron, AMX, RTI, HAI and PC based-touchscreens over IP or RS-232. Don't expect them to be easy on your pocket though, as even a tuner-less P500 will start from $5,999 upwards.
