Sun Cat Batteries

Rechargeable batteries are cool as they help reduce the amount of junk we place in our landfills, but how else can we make them 'greener'? The answer is easy - slap on some solar panels and you're good to go. After all, that's what these Sun Cat batteries by Knut Karlsen are all about. Leave them basking in the sun just like cats (and other reptiles) for a while and they'll turn the energy into electricity within. It won't replace true blue rechargeables anytime soon as it comes with a pretty weak trickle charger, but at least it is convenient when you don't have enough power outlets to go around in a hotel room at that point in time. Hopefully the efficiency of such products will be increased in due time.
