The Thermaltake Vi-ON external hard drive enclosure is the first in the world that features an embedded hard drive suspension system and Active Smart Cooling System. These fancy names are not just there to increase the recommended retail price while impressing less-than-informed folk, but have been included for very good reasons. It relies on a temperature sensing fan which is able to detect the hard drive temperature while changing its speed in real-time for optimal efficiency and silence. In addition, the hard drive suspension system will combat vibration generated by hard drives at their maximum rotation speed in order to minimize the amount of sound coming out. Its outer structural design is pleasing to the eye, but unfortunately it comes only in a glossy black finish. Each purchase will come with standard accessories including a USB 2.0 Cable, eSATA Cable, Power Adapter and Dust Cloth.
