Weta Workshop Prosthetic Mermaid Tail

Nadya Vessey had both of her legs amputated due to an illness as a child, and she has finally managed to fulfil her mermaid fantasy after approaching Weta Workshop - the very same special-effects team that worked on the Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia series, asking them to develop a prosthetic mermaid's tail for her. This labor of love took a good two years to complete, and now Vessey is able to go around the pool effortlessly like an actual mermaid. We wonder whether her dad's name is Triton, and can she sing and enthrall us like a siren? How do you think the tail is powered, and will there be future versions that split up to become legs, functioning as a dual-purpose prosthetic? Now that'd be super cool.
