Wheego Whip Ready For US Launch

While oil prices have tumbled down from their insane highs of last year, that doesn't mean we should revert to burning more fossil fuel just because they're cheap. The Wheego Whip offers an electric alternative as it is ready for sale in the US this May. It will retail for $19,000 and is capable of a 50 mile trip on a full charge at a top speed of 60 mph. The acceleration and speed ought to be enough for huge American roads, although don't expect to smoke anyone in this. Unfortunately, it will be limited to just 35 mph where its top speed is concerned at least until the good people at the US government approve of its crashworthiness. How many of you are willing to give something like this a shot?
