Acer Wants In On App Store Craze As Well

Acer is up next to open their own app store, as their senior corporate vice president, Mr. Aymar de Lencquesaing, mulled over in a press event held in London, mentioning that the Taiwanese company “is examining the viability of an app store”. There is no confirmation of whether they are going to take the plunge with this or not, but with them having announced a whole slew of Windows Mobile 6.1 and 6.5-powered smartphones not too long ago, it would make some sense to run the Acer App Store - assuming they have a relevant sustainable market. Hopefully this Acer App Store will offer more than just Windows Mobile programs, otherwise it'd be pretty boring.
