AngelMed Guardian Monitor Predicts Heart Attacks

Heart attacks are more often than not sudden, and chances are you will only realize you're suffering from one halfway through the experience if lucky. Angel Medical Systems has come up with the AngelMed Guardian, a device that is touted to predict heart attacks. It comes with a package that consists of an implantable monitor, complete with a lead that stretches into the heart, constantly searching for ST changes in the ECG electrical signal. Bluetooth connectivity is employed by having it talk to a pager-like device worn by the patient, alerting the patient of a possible MI onset. We guess there will be plenty of false alarms when wearing this and watching a SuperBowl final, but to have a machine predict that I could actually die? I think I'd rather be uninformed...
