HULC Exoskeleton

Published on 03/15/2009

Lockheed Martin has come up with the HULC exoskeleton (we like the way it sounds like the Hulk) - a completely un-tethered, hydraulic-powered anthropomorphic exoskeleton which allows wearers to gain superhuman strength without being bitten by a radioactive spider. Wearers are able to carry loads of up to 200 lbs for extended periods of time no matter what the terrain is like, and it is flexible enough to be used in various positions such as deep squats, crawls and upper-body lifting. You won't have to grapple with a joystick or other forms of control mechanism, but all you need to do is concentrate on doing what you want to do. An onboard micro-computer is present to make sure the exoskeleton moves in tandem with the wearer.
