Iriver Japan To Release Own E-Reader
Posted on Mar 2, 09 08:58 AM PDT

Looks like e-book readers are starting to catch on, and we ought to see more and more manufacturers jump on board the bandwagon in due time. iriver Japan (not to be confused with the iRiver from Korea) hopes to join the game by releasing their own e-book reader, but unfortunately from early viewing, their offering looks more and more like a rebadged version of the Netronix reader which was released sometime last year. Apparently the iriver Japan device will be able to handle PDF documents in addition to a simple joystick control scheme, an SD memory card slot as well as audio file playback. Definitely won't be able to hold a candle to the Kindle - hey, that rhymes!
