LumoPro LP120 Manual Flash
Posted on Mar 20, 09 11:02 AM PDT

Folks who are looking for a relatively affordable manual flash solution can check out the LumoPro LP120 that retails for - you've guessed it right, $120. A dollar for each digit in the model number, eh? The LP120 is no slouch when it comes to options, allowing one to adjust the power down to 1/32, as well as triggering it in an array of methods where all of them are open standards comprising of a hotshoe, a slave trigger (which detects the light from another flash firing for wireless use), a PC (Prontor/Compur) socket and a mini-jack socket. In addition, you will also benefit from manual zoom, a 270º swivel and 90º tilt. Unfortunately, the workmanship on the body doesn't feel quite right, but at least it is light and seems to be rather tough.
