Orange To Offer Subsidized MacBooks

Orange hopes to entice more customers to sign up for their 3G service by throwing in subsidized MacBooks, and we're not talking about saving pennies here. Those who commit to a two-year deal for a 3G connection can now pick up a 13" Apple notebooks at a substantial discount compared to the recommended retail price. Currently, Orange does bundle their 3G service with netbooks, but the savings don't amount to much when you calculate the final price. By offering a MacBook alongside their 3G service, Orange is able to sell a $1,299 MacBook for approximately $75 monthly, making the whole package an extremely attractive proposition for folks who want to stretch their dollar at this time.
