Panasonic DMP-BD70V Hybrid Blu-ray Player
Posted on Mar 11, 09 04:39 PM PDT

Panasonic scores a world's first with its DMP-BD70V - the first Blu-ray player in the world that features VHS support. Yes, you read that right - you are now able to wipe the dust off your existing VHS collection and pop it into the DMP-BD70V for a walk through the good old days where the hottest movies were on VHS format instead of Blu-ray. Nice to know that Panasonic has not forgotten about the past, making this one ultra backwards compatible device with a bunch of media including VHS, CDs and DVDs, where video from those will be given a 1080p up-conversion treatment as well. In order to complete the digital lifestyle, the DMP-BD70V also comes with a built-in SD memory card slot and USB 2.0 port for you to view and share digital images and videos on the fly. The DMP-BD70V will retail for a surprisingly affordable $399.95 this April considering its capability and features. [Press Release]
