Pantech WPP-8000 Has Wi-Fi
Posted on Mar 17, 09 08:44 PM PDT

Wi-Fi-enabled cell phones are dime a dozen these days, making Pantech extremely late to the game with its WPP-8000 Wi-Fi cell phone. Launched in South Korea via LG Dacom, the WPP-8000 will utilize LG Daco's myLG070 service that enables users to access the Internet using a wireless LAN connection known as iHub, where you will be able to retrieve various snippets of news such as world happenings, weather information as well as stock without incurring additional data charges. Other cell phone-friendly features include Caller ID support and text messaging. Weird to see a Wi-Fi-enabled handset come with such a tiny display.
