Philips Xenium X530 Flip Phone

Philips has rolled out its latest flip handset – the Xenium X530. As with other Xenium phones, this one has a pretty impressive battery life that allows you to chat for up to 8 hours non-stop before requiring a trip to the nearest power outlet, although we think that real life performance is lower than the stated amount. Other specifications of the Xenium X530 include :-

  • Tri-band GSM/EDGE connectivity (900/1800/1900 MHz)
  • 2.2″ internal TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels and 262K colors
  • 1″ OLED external display
  • Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP connectivity
  • Music player support
  • Integrated FM radio with RDS
  • 2 megapixel camera

The FCC recently gave their nod of approval for the Xenium X530, but chances are it will see action only in Asia and Europe while the US won’t be able to get their hands on this. Frankly, do you think this will do well Stateside? There is no word on pricing at press time.
