RFID Tags Could Save Lives

A partnership between Hothead Technologies and Kennesaw State University has resulted in a new system that could help trainers monitor whether an athlete is about to suffer from heatstroke or not - after all, sometimes passion for glory and the game might faze the player's judgment in recognizing early signs of heatstroke, hence the embedded RFID tag that is accompanied by an integrated thermal thermometer and a transmitter within a football helmet which allows trainers up to 500 meters away to monitor the temperature of athletes. The system's software is able to track and monitor individual persons for specific tracking and analysis, making this a potentially life-saving system.
