Sentience Intelligent Cruise Removes the Fun Out of Driving
Posted on Mar 12, 09 06:29 PM PDT

This assisted driving system doesn't do all the work, but it does a whole lot more than previous systems. It handles acceleration, accelerates or decelerates according to the situation as it recognizes red lights, speed bumps corners and more. It can even guess when the red lights will turn green.
I think that it's kind of weird to decouple acceleration and turning the wheel but it might just be me. You might think that it removes all the fun, but there's an advantage: it can generate fuel savings of 5% to 24%. That's yet another reminder of how efficient machines can be, even if they are really dumb sometimes. So, would you rather see such an evolution arrive sooner or later?
