Solomobi Cool8800C Phone

Solomobi has come up with its latest handset – the Cool8800C. This phone is weirdly named, and hailing from China, you can’t really expect it to shine in terms of software although the hardware segment of things have improved over the years compared to the first generation of China-originated handsets. Dual SIM cards are supported, while an analog TV tuner allows you to use this in Third World countries as you travel, checking out what’s going on with the local TV channels. The flip out display and keypad is the outstanding feature here, as doing so will reveal a larger display underneath alongside dedicated gaming controls. Unfortunately, there are only three pre-loaded classic NES titles on this, so you’ll need to load ROMs yourself via a memory card. Would you fork out $140 for the Cool8800C? We’d rather get a new DS Lite instead and stick to an old phone model.
