ZTIC USB Stick
Posted on Mar 4, 09 06:30 PM PDT

The ZTIC (Zone Trusted Information Channel) USB stick was specially designed for secure online banking, never mind if your computer is infested with viruses at point of use. This USB stick was developed by IBM in Zurich, and it will open up an SSL connection to the bank's servers so that data is kept safely on the other side since there is no storage capacity on its own. Transaction details will even appear on the display that has been integrated into the USB Stick itself, so there is no need to get a privacy filter for your monitor. Should your connection be breached, however, the hacker will be exposed on the display. There is no word on pricing and availability, but IBM aims to talk banks into purchasing these for online banking purposes. Would you use this when it comes out?
