AMD has just released the Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition 2.8GHz processor that will be one of the faster 65nm dual-core processor from AMD's budget line. The Black Edition model makes some leeway for owners to overclock past the factory settings, since enthusiasts will be able to select memory controller, HyperTransport and CPU core frequencies via Windows software like OverDrive or through the mainboard’s system BIOS. Other features of the Black Edition processor include 2MB of shared L3 cache that will be able to deliver low-latency access to main memory. If you're interested in picking up the AMD Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition 2.8GHz processor, it can be yours for $70.
