Anywhere MultiTouch Platform

Sensitive Object from France has announced its work on Anywhere MultiTouch. Just in case you wonder what this is all about, it is a Windows 7-compliant platform which is able to turn just about any everyday object like glass, aluminum and plastic into a multitouch surface courtesy of piezoelectric sensors. This is based on the company's ReverSys technology which is able to tell just where an object is precisely when touched through the use of soundwaves. Other notable features that come along with it include handwriting recognition and palm rejection. With multitouch capability being independent from the display, it looks as though developers have more choices in incorporating actions along the whole device.
