If you do anything time-intensive with your computer (besides gaming or watching Hulu...) you know that your data needs to be protected (curiously, many people learn the hard way). Axxana is a disk array that is designed to resist a number of doomsday scenario like earthquakes, fire, flood. Heck, even "terror" is listed in there. Here's what that means in numbers: the box can resists 40G shocks, 2000 degrees (F) for 1 hour, 30feet underwater etc...
That said, your data should be much safer in there than in a plain vanilla USB external drive... except if someone steals the box...
