Bronnikovs Wooden Watch
Posted on Apr 29, 09 11:08 AM PDT

Fancy a watch that is made out of wood? Well, you might laugh at the idea but this was actually done by Bronnikovs during the pre-revolutionary era, and it is no surprise that only a handful of these survived through the times. After all, wood isn't exactly as long lasting as other metals used in making timepieces these days. Not only that, we're amazed at how much sandpapering must have gone into making one of these puppies to make sure they run like clockwork. Apparently they're so rare and treasured these days that an individual Bronnikovs wooden watch in mint condition could fetch up to a whopping $20,000.
