Cherple Sends SMS Via Computers
Posted on Apr 21, 09 11:03 AM PDT

Instead of sending text messages through the cell phone, why not do so over the computer instead? This is made possible with Cherple, a program that was launched just this January and has already garnered approximately 10 million users worldwide. The Cherple site enables users to send text messages from any computer as long as they're connected to the Internet. The only catch? This service works with any US cell number only, and does not cost a single cent to do so in the process. The recipient, however, will be charged standard text rates if they reply that SMS to an email.
