CitiDISK R258 Recorder

Shining Technology has rolled out its CitiDISK R258, a portable tapeless video recorder that relies on high-capacity removable storage media, capable of holding up to 250GB of memory which translates to approximately 19 hours of DV/HDV footage or 5 hours of HD footage. This unique video recorder can be hooked up to majority of FireWire-enabled video cameras including the ones from Canon, JVC, Panasonic and Sony. You can choose from either standard hard drive or solid-state memory configurations, depending on your budget. Other features of the CitiDISK R258 include an integrated LCD display and support for QuickTime, AVI, and MXF file formats. It will be available later this fall for a yet undisclosed price.
