Ecotricity Greenbird Breaks World Record
Posted on Apr 2, 09 08:56 PM PDT

Mark March 26th on your calendars as a special day in history as that is when the Ecotricity Greenbird driven by British engineer Richard Jenkins broke the world land speed record for wind powered vehicles with the Ecotricity Greenbird, clocking a speed of 126.1 mph (202.9 km/h) that is clearly beaks ahead of the previous record of 116 mph held by American Bob Schumacher in the Iron Duck. While it took a decade to break this record, we sure hope that future record breaking attempts will be successful within less than a decade.
