Honda To Release Two Robotic Walking And Lifting Exoskeletons
Posted on Apr 14, 09 04:11 PM PDT

Folks in New York will be able to feast their eyes on a couple of robotic walking and lifting assistant exoskeletons from Honda Motor tomorrow, giving a glimpse into the future where humans will be endowed with artificially superhuman strength. The first prototype will be a wearable device that helps the aged as well as those who suffer from weakened leg muscles to move around, and it is known as the Stride Management apparatus which is worn around the waists, hips and thighs. As for the second apparatus, it is the Bodyweight Support device that looks rather painful for males to wear (as you can see on the right) if the height is not adjusted to suit the wearer. It will help you in your gait while assisting you in some heavy lifting - a perfect future Father's Day gift, perhaps?
