LaCie has just released its Rugged XL hard drive that now comes with 1TB of storage space without compromising on the integrity of your data during travels. The Rugged XL will take all the best points of the popular Rugged hard drive, keeping your data safe with its aluminum chassis and signature orange rubber sleeve. It can connect either via USB 2.0 or eSATA at 3Gb/s, depending on which machine you're running on at that point in time. Setting up the drive is a no brainer with the LaCie Setup Assistant software, while making backups is a snap thanks to the Genie Backup Assistant software for Windows users and Intego Backup Assistant software for Mac users.
