Light Emitting Poster From Dai Nippon Printing
Posted on Apr 8, 09 06:02 AM PDT

Dai Nippon Printing Co. Ltd. (DNP) has come up with a new "light emitting poster" simply by merging both an inorganic EL panel that emits high-luminance white light as well as organic EL panels which will display text information in a scrolling manner. Currently on display at the exhibition space of Rakuten Eagles (professional baseball team) in Aoba-ku, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, this inorganic EL panel will irradiate a high-luminance light from behind, bringing to life the printed color image while highlighting the image for it to look somewhat similar to an animation. NDP hopes to verify this poster via an exhibition with the final intention of commercializing it, targeting an April 2010 release date. Guess the face of advertising always changes, eh?
