Orange Targets Senior Citizens With a Subsidized 1 Euro Computer
Posted on Apr 30, 09 07:09 AM PDT

Codenamed Hello, the computer has a very simple design, some say "Mac-like", and costs only 1 Euro, when bundled with a 24-month DSL contract and the landline subscription that goes with it (40 Euro/mo). Hello runs on Linux and it is loaded with basic productivity applications. Because it is built for a non tech-savvy crowd, the user interface has been simplified a bit, and there's even a "remote help" button.
