Panasonic Announces Power Saving Heat Pump Water Heaters
Posted on Apr 9, 09 07:55 AM PDT

Panasonic has released its latest batch of 16 heat pump water heaters that are meant to save energy while keeping bathwater temperature constant by using a human presence sensor. When in place, this mechanism is able to reduce power consumption by up to 35% during winter, so make sure you place an order in order to snag one by July 10 as long as you're in Japan. It won't come cheap though, as one of the models, the HE-KU37CQS, will feature a tank capacity and hot water supply pressure of 370L and 280kPa, respectively, and retail for approximately $8,211. Hard to believe at that price, even a remote control will be sold separately.
