Altec Lansing has released its IMT237-Orbit MP3 portable audio speaker in Korea, where it is powered by a trio of AAA batteries that are able to run up to 24 hours of non-stop audio playback. Just make sure your choice of music is palatable to the public if you intend to use this on the subway with your portable media player or notebook. No idea on what kind of power the speaker offers, but it shouldn't be able to bring the house down by a long shot.
