Kindle Named Kindle DX, Image+Specs
Posted on May 5, 09 10:15 AM PDT

Amazon's bigger kindle is reportedly called Kindle DX and will have a 9.7" e-Ink display. It will be able to read .PDF files and to save notes entered using the integrated keyboard. Some sources say that the New York Times will be available on the Kindle DX for $9.95/mo. Amazon's plan is reportedly to save the paper industry. We would not use the word "saving" as the paper industry seems to head for fundamental changes, but it might serve as a backdrop, yes. eBooks have the potential to change the media industry, but the Kindle is still largely too primitive to attract the masses.[Photo via engadget]
