Music Downloads For Sony PSP Rumor

Word on the street has it that Sony is thinking of ways to stem the bleeding in their finances, with rumors of a PSP music store making its rounds. Should this be true, we could be looking at an integration of music downloads onto the PlayStation Network. What do you think - will this rumor tie in with, guess what - rumors of a new and improved PSP? Could this be the iPod that never was? We aren't too sure about that, as they surely need not wait for a refresh in the PSP to do this as there are delectable Sony Walkman devices that have hit the market to date, but proved less than worthy to dislodge the iPod from its lofty throne. We do hope that Sony does something quick and effective though, otherwise it'd be a shame to see a once dominant company go on a permanent downhill slide.
