Sony Ericsson PlayNow Arena Service Targets June Launch
Posted on May 29, 09 09:18 AM PDT

June's just a couple of days away, which means we could be looking at Sony Ericsson's PlayNow Arena service arrive at our doorsteps within a couple of days' time. PlayNow Arena will require users to select and download movies onto their respective computers, transferring such data over to the handset via Bluetooth or a cable connection, where the transferred file is valid for a 3-month playback time before it expires, and your handset spontaneously combusts. We're kidding about the latter - content on the PlayNow Arena service will be cycled monthly, where you can choose from 15 movies at any given time. Not too shabby, but wouldn't Over The Air downloads be much better?
