Verbatim Offers 6x Blu-ray Media

Verbatim is a name that will be fondly remembered by many for their teflon-coated floppies when that medium was in its heydays. Well, they're still in the data storage business, and this time round they've kept up with the times by offering Blu-ray media that supports 6x writing speeds. The only problem with it is this - users will have to purchase a writer that supports it in order to take full advantage of the medium. Touted to be the industry's first 6× Blu-ray recordable media, the 25 GB Verbatim/MKM BD-R LTH will enter mass production this summer and will be released to the market for a yet undisclosed price.
