Nokia Losing Its Mojo with Teenagers
Posted on Jun 4, 09 10:34 AM PDT

Back in my days, Nokia phones were the one that every teenagers wanted, however that was a long time ago, and Nokia took a new "coolness" dive recently: only 21% of teens said that Nokia was their favorite brand, against 29% last year - that's almost a 50% drop. Not surprisingly, the report says that Nokia has failed to introduce exciting phones for this crowd, even if phones like the E7x series are pretty hot. Nokia phones are also often too expensive, not subsidized by carriers or just too thick.
The survey included 112000 teenagers from 30 countries, excluding emerging countries. [reuters via mobileburn]
