Posted on Jun 29, 09 08:50 AM PDT

If you're among the many out there who remember the days where Sega and Nintendo used to duke it out on the video game front, then chances are you would've had dabbled with some Sega classics before. For folks who want to relive 16-bit excitement yet again, there is the Sega Retro-Gen device that not only handles old Mega Drive and Genesis cartridges, it is also capable of playing licensed games which have been saved onto an SD card courtesy of a special extra cartridge. Other notable features include a rechargeable-by-USB battery and TV-out connectivity that allows you to show the world just how blocky 16-bit graphics are like on a new LCD TV. There is no word on availability in the UK to date.
