ViewSonic is more often than not associated with LCD monitors than anything else, and now they have entered the computing business with the ViewSonic VPC100 All-in-One which comes with an 18.5" display, an Intel Atom processor and a relatively low price tag of $599. Guess this targets those who want a desktop computer that is able to handle everyday word processing and spreadsheet tasks in addition to surfing the Internet. If you're looking for a gaming machine, then we would advice you to overlook the VPC100 and check other more beefy machines out instead. Within the VPC100's chassis lies 1GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Ethernet, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, an integrated webcam, a memory card reader, a super multi DVD burner and four USB 2.0 ports. The VPC100 will run on Windows XP, while the 18.5" TFT LCD display has a resolution of 1,366 x 768 resolution, a brightness level of 300cd/m2, a 5ms response time and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio.
