Wi-SKY Inflight Internet Service Hits 45Mbps
Posted on Jun 3, 09 08:03 PM PDT
Would you believe it - now, even inflight Wi-Fi is capable of offering speeds of up to 45Mbps thanks to Wi-SKY. According to the company, this is made possible thanks to their radio towers that are able to reach aircraft as far as 54 miles away, and a recent inflight demo showed that multiple computers could access iTunes, make Skype video calls, view a web cam located in a remote place, while streaming multiple YouTube videos simulaneously whislt downloading an 8.8MB email attachment without missing a beat. Hopefully it will be affordable enough when it is commercialized.
