Windows 7 Packaging Revealed
Posted on Jun 24, 09 08:55 PM PDT

Microsoft has let us take a look at the upcoming Windows 7 packaging which is in tune with the way the big M approaches their product, resulting in a simple clean design that is easy to open, while reducing waste simultaneously. According to the Windows team, customers loved the big bold Windows logo that clearly tells people it is Windows 7 a ta glance, while background colors help differentiate between each edition. The number of elements in the package has also been reduced to just three - a plastic case, a paper sleeve and a Getting Started Guide. Interestingly enough, the plastic case is lighter than its predecessors and can be recycled - nifty when you're moving on to Windows 8.
