Motorola Morrison passes FCC tests

The FCC has given their nod of approval to the Motorola Morrison, the latest handset to come from the beleaguered cellphone company. The Morrison looks set to make a debut on T-Mobile 3G bands (1700/2100), and is the first Android-powered handset from Motorola that will boast both 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity at the same time. Some of the specifications revealed include :-

  • Tri band WCDMA/ HSDPA/ HSUPA 900/1700/2100
  • Quad band GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
  • Wi-Fi connectivity
  • HandsFree Speaker
  • Photo and video Camera
  • Video Player
  • Stereo Bluetooth
  • Music Player
  • HTML Browser
  • Android OS

No idea on when the Motorola Morrison will be released, nor how much will it cost but hopefully it will offer a decent fight on Android’s behalf to the seemingly all-conquering iPhone.
